Ingredients:
- 4 Tb Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 Tb minced Garlic
- ¼ tsp Crushed Red Pepper
- ¼ tsp coarse Sea Salt
- 1 14 oz can Crushed Tomatoes or 4 Roma tomatoes diced
- 2 Tb fresh Basil leaves (optional)
Preparation:
- Add the extra virgin olive oil to a 2-quart saucepan over a medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic, crushed red pepper and sea salt to the saucepan, stir and sauté uncovered until the garlic is golden brown.
- Add the crushed tomatoes or diced Roma tomatoes to the saucepan, stir, cover and simmer over a medium low heat for 15 minutes.
- While the sauce is simmering, rinse and sliver the basil leaves.
- Once the sauce is done simmering, stir the slivered basil leaves into the sauce, cover and turn off the heat.
- Serve Quick Tomato Pasta Sauce over pasta or use as a basic tomato sauce starter and take it from there.
